Ariat American Riding Boots For Me And My Family

Ariat is an American company famous for their manufacturing of riding boots. The company was started in the 1990s by Pam Parker and Beth Cross with the idea of coming up with a new way of making boots. Taking on traditional English and Western styles which could be stiff and really uncomfortable, they worked to engineer a new type of riding boot that was very comfortable.

I've tried a lot of boots, and these are the best. I've had an opportunity to try a lot of Ariat's latest lines and they are absolutely amazing. I will never go back to another brand again. There's definitely no reason to even entertain the idea while these bad boys are on the market. I'm a pretty avid rider, on the courses about 2 times a week, so I put in a lot of hours and can tell you I hardly ever feel fatigue in my legs or feet.

If you want the best, go for Ariat's Professional line. I prefer the Western style to the English. This selection includes some really attractive and comfortable boots, and I've been trying out a few different pairs. The Quantum Brander is my absolute favorite with some great features. It's got a full-grain leather shaft, the version I used had a nice aniline cowhide leather foot and is fully leather line. This is absolute comfort! With a ten-row stitch pattern and Duratread outsole, you'll be riding in total comfort.

Believe it or not Duratread is what's used on tractor tires and on mining vehicles. These boots will not slip at all, and the treads will last for a long long time. The leather welt is actually made by Goodyear, the tire company, so you're getting some pretty amazing technology in these boots.

My wife's a big fan of the Women's Heritage Stockman. They look so good on her! These ones have what they call ATS technology. This feature is great for people who ride a lot. The thing is, whether they're for riding or walking, they feel so comfortable. The stress in your feet, back, and lower legs is totally reduced giving a great feeling all day long.

This boot features a full leather lining, a saddle vamp, single stitch welt, a stitch pattern of 6 rows and a full grain leather foot and shaft. With the U-Toe profile this is one good looking boot!

My boys wear the Cascade Kids boot, which loo really fashionable and you'd actually have to look at them closely to see they're specialized. The cascade range has what they call 4LR tech, which stands for 4 Layer Rebound. There's total support and comfort with this. The footbed has EVA cushioning and is lined with a fabric that's made of a wicking material to keep moisture out and a metatarsal pad to support feet all day long. The Duratread sole also makes for a long lasting boot.

This type of boot also comes in full grain leather with a brushed synthetic lining, a TPR outsole, an Ariat Booster Bed and removable kiltie. With these boots your kids will never be complaining of sore feet while at the stables.

Horse Riding Boots ” Important Factors to Consider

by Lisa Blackstone

Horse riding boots are protective covering for the foot and part or all of the leg used for horseback riding. Choosing the right horse riding boot is important as it greatly contributes to your safety when horseback riding. Horse riding boots must come second to helmets if you want to dress for safety.

Studies show that one quarter of sports related fatalities are caused by horse riding. And most horse related injuries are a result of falling from a horse and being kicked by a horse. This can happen if your foot gets caught in the stirrup, which can be caused by inaccurate horse riding boots. Therefore, choosing the right boots is very vital.

There are at least four important things to remember when choosing a pair of horse riding boots.

1. The most important element to look for in horse riding boots is the right heel height. This can prevent you from sliding through the stirrup. The ideal heel height for a horse riding boot is one to two inches.

Do not use a horse riding boot with heel that is more than two inches. This will alter the natural position of your foot in the stirrup and can cause for your foot to be distorted. When your foot is distorted, your riding position will be affected.

2. Your horse riding boot has to have sole that is smooth or lightly textured. This will prevent you from getting caught on the tread of the stirrup in the event of a fall. The sole should be plain and relatively flat. Leather sole are ideal, but rubber sole is perfectly acceptable.

You do not want your boot to have thick car-tire type tread. This will make your foot too snug in the stirrup, which can get your foot stuck in the stirrup.

These two conditions are the most important factors to consider when buying horse riding boots " a good heel and a proper tread. It is not necessary to have your boots specifically designed for you as long as it meets these two criteria.

However, as you develop a specialty as a rider, you will want to acquire boots that are suitable for that discipline. Horse riding boots are designed with specific features to aid riders in horseback riding and to protect them as well. But, these features make the boots difficult to wear when working on the ground. If you want to feel more comfortable, you can also consider the following.

3. To prevent the leathers of the saddle from pinching your leg while horseback riding, your boot should be high enough. In hunter/jumper and dressage disciplines, for example, tall boots are required. Lower uppers are usually used in Western riding.

Roper boots have the most classic length, which is the mid-calf height. This keeps the fenders of the saddles from chafing the ankle and calf of the rider.

4. Some boots, like the field boots even have an extra layer of leather on the toe called the toe cap. Like ropers, field boots have round toes. These features are designed to enable riders to work on the ground more comfortably.
